Scheveningen and Beeld aan Zee Museum

Happy New Year everyone! Just got back from our family visit to the Netherlands yesterday. Still feeling a little jetlagged, but happy to be home and eager to share some of the great moments from this trip. One of them was a day trip to Den Haag, Scheveningen and the Beeld aan Zee Museum. The museum is on the beach of Scheveningen, but these two places couldn't be more different. The beach has lots of stores, attractions, signs, and colors, while the museum is completely quiet and serene in its architecture and exhibitions. The design of this building was very thoughtful from the sand colored pallet to the clever built-in hanging system for the work and signage.
